Direct Shipping
How much can I save with Direct Shipping?
It’s really difficult estimate how much you will save with direct shipping.Transporting freight involves a lot of different variables, including product classification, value, density, and fragility. There are also variables for lane density, measured in terms of truck availability. Add in variables for length of haul and a host of other variables, and it becomes apparent that such an estimate is impossible. What we can do, however, is work with you to get the best rate for your freight, no matter what you need.
What can I Direct Ship?

Our local drivers know the St. Louis, MO and outlying area well, using that familiarity to make every stop on time every time.
We also offer local route planning services. When planning local routes, we use state-of-the-art logistics planning software to calculate the optimal routing and of your stops. - Blind Shipments--The actual contents of the shipment are known only to the product owner and the receiver at the destination.
- High Value--Includes consumer electronics and other items valued at over $100,000 per full truckload.
- Escorted Loads-- Secure shipment of a classified nature, including DOD shipments with unmarked, armed escorts.
- Sensitive Loads--Low-vibration, low-impact tolerant freight, such as laboratory instruments and specialized technology.
- Conventions and Trade Shows--All equipment and gear associated with setting up display booths and demonstration areas.

Dry Van Freight
StarEX has a fleet of late-model 53’ dry vans for hauling non-hazmat freight. All of our trailers are vented, with wooden floors, and fiberglass or aluminum roofs. Each trailer is rigorously maintained, with hole-free roofs, sides, and floors. Our drivers sweep and clean each trailer after delivery, so it is fresh and ready for the next load.
Drop Trailers
Some clients need the extra flexibility a drop trailer provides. You can request for use to drop an empty or loaded trailer at your preferred destination, so that it will be available for you to load or unload when you have the time. If you have a scheduled pickup with us, and need an empty left every day, we’ll be sure to send our driver over with a trailer so you’re not left hanging with product to load and no trailer to put it in.
Contract Logistics
Logistics Planning
When you choose us for your contract logistics needs, we sit down with you and cover everything that is necessary to ensure your freight moves on schedule and within budget. We talk with people in the supply chain at every necessary level to understand their scheduling needs. Once we have everything worked out, we get in touch with you and outline the traffic lane(s) and schedule, based on the supplier/shipper’s schedule each step of the way. This helps to prevent unpleasant surprises later on.
Logistic Planners
Logistics planners are transportation strategists who work farther up the supply chain to coordinate the scheduling and shipment of goods. The fundamental goal of a logistics planner is to keep trucks loaded and profitable, avoiding spot market loads for their transportation carrier clients. StarEX Transportation takes care of logistics planning for direct shipped loads, saving you money.
Dedicated Drivers and Equipment
Once your logistics plan is accepted, we dedicate the drivers and equipment needed to fulfill your transportation needs. Whether it’s one truck or ten, we’ve got you covered.
One of the advantages of dedicated routes is that of regularity--everyone knows what to expect. Even so, there are times when something changes and an adjustment has to be made. Perhaps demand has slowed and you need only 3 runs per week instead of 5. Or, maybe you have 5 dedicated trucks, but now you need 6. Just call us, and we’ll take care of you.
Freight Brokers
Broker Relationships
It’s no secret that there a lot of shady, fly-by-night freight brokerages. Dealing with them is inherently risky, from both legal and business perspectives. At StarEX Transport, we check each freight broker out before dealing with them, making sure that they are properly licensed, bonded, and insured. Furthermore, we check out the freight broker’s reputation, to see what experience other carriers have had when dealing with them.
Dealing with shady freight brokers is never a good idea. Their dirty tricks of the trade can cause damage to a carrier’s reputation and may even lead to legal troubles. That’s why we only deal with great freight brokers.
What Makes a Great Freight Broker
- Fair-- They offer the best rate they can for a particular load, based on commodity/product, traffic lane, and length of haul.
- Honesty-- Their fees are transparent and easy to understand. There are no hidden fees or ‘surprises’ later on.
- Integrity-- They have high ethical standards that prevent them from making a quick buck through questionable fees or practices.
- Professional-- Friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable.
- Experienced-- They have been around for a long time, and have a deep understanding and knowledge of the industry.
- Reputation-- Other carriers speak highly of them and recommend their services to other carriers.
24-Hour Dispatch
No matter the problem, if you have something that you need to talk with us about, just give us a call and we’ll take care of you.
Freight Storage
MacroPoint Tracking
How It Works
- Transportation Management System--Macropoint integrates with a carrier’s transportation management system (TMS) to provide real-time location information. This allows the carrier to know where your freight is at all times. This effectively eliminates the need for driver check-in calls, saving time and money.
- Driver--MacroPoint is also capable of tracking a driver’s cell phone location in real time, no matter where that driver is. MacroPoint is compatible with all cell phones, so no matter what type of phone your driver has, MacroPoint will work.
